February is Pet Month at the Roxbury Library!

Join the Roxbury Public Library for a month of activities all about our furry, four-legged friends!

On Tuesday, February 3 at 2pm we will host Preschool Storytime with Charlie. Charlie and his owner Miss Peg, from Noah’s Ark Animal Shelter, will be here to tell us a story. Miss Peg will also show the children how to properly greet a dog, give a dog a treat, and teach general pet safety.

Also on Tuesday, February 3 at 7PM a representative of the Noah’s Ark Animal Shelter will tell you What It Means to Have a Dog. A great program for the whole family, it covers everything from where to get a dog, how much they cost, what they eat and what to do with the new member of your family. Registration is requested for this program. Call the library at 973-584-2400 or e-mail comments@roxburylibrary.org to register.

Then on Saturday, February 7 from 10AM-12PM, the library will host a Pet Adoption Event in conjunction with Noah’s Ark Animal Shelter. A number of adoptable dogs and cats will be at the library looking for a new home. Come in and find your new best friend!
