The Roxbury Public Library continues its Friday Night Concert Series with a performance by Phyllis Chapell. Phyllis Chapell plays and sings great songs from all over the world. Her repertoire features songs in 10 languages from Brazil, Latin America, Europe, Israel, and the U.S. Her 3-octave vocals are supported and complemented by her acoustic guitar play, capturing the essence of musical styles from percussive Brazilian sambas and explosive flamenco rumbas to elegant classical arias, folk, jazz and original ballads. Refreshments will be served. Doors open at 6:30 and the music begins at 7:00. Admission is free with a Roxbury library card. $3.00 for others.
